LAP Respite Center, Inc., is a private, nonprofit agency which provides respite services for families who care for children or adults with disabilities, chronic illness, or age-related conditions. LAP Respite Center services are available to families who live in central Michigan in the counties of Ingham, Eaton and Clinton.  www.laprespitecenter.com

Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council's Family Support Work Group

The DD Council's FSWG is responsible for monitoring the implementation of the FSWG's Family Support Action Plan and the Council's family support demonstration projects.  They provide a statewide forum for family support issue, information exchanges between state agencies, advocacy groups and parents.  The FSWG explores opportunities to expand awareness of family support services and provide ongoing advice to the DD Council to keep the Governor apprised of family support issues.  The FSWG continuously works to increase the representation of multicultural groups and families with members of various disabilities.  For more information visit: http://www.bridges4kids.org/fswg/
