In-Home Coaching
It is no surprise in today's busy world, that families have a difficult time balancing life, work and pleasure. When raising a child with autism the word balance does not usually exist in the vocabulary of many families. "It's all about the autism!"
We help families to develop In-Home Management plans in an effort to establish a variety of routines into households and provide some balance. When developing an In-Home Management plan, we take the number of parents, siblings, pets and unique characteristics of each child with autism and devise the best plan based on a family's specific needs.
We will work with your family to develop and maintain visual schedules and social stories to help your child better understand their family structure and daily routines.
Community Development & Coaching
"They say it takes a village to raise a child"
We help to educate community businesses and collaborate with families and businesses to help create a better understanding of indiviudals living with autism. As a result, businesses are able to establish strategies that provide enhanced customer service to families affected by autism. The primary goal is to inspire businesses to invest time in a Professional Development Series for their employees, in order to better understand, work with and provide services to families and individuals living with autism.
We train, coach and collaborate with local businesses to develop specialized activities and events for children with autism (i.e. social or life-skills training) to enhance socialization and independence. Examples of businesses we are looking to educate are Doctors, Dentists and Optometrists Offices, Realtors, Bankers, Child Care Centers, Grocery Stores, Movie Theater Employees, etc. If you sell a product or service, there are families who need your services but long for understanding related to their very unique and special family. Would invest in something that would invest in you?
